About the Social Wave Project
General BackgroundIf you've looked around our site or you've heard about Hyperlinked Web Services before, you've probably heard the name Social Wave mentioned in the same breath. Just what exactly is Social Wave? The simplest answer is that it's a website for Silicon Valley residents that helps the community connect with each other, share events, and publicize locally owned businesses. It's a community network, but it's not your typical online network where you can join circles of virtual friends and talk about common interests with people that you'll most likely never meet. We have nothing against those kind of online networks. We actually enjoy them a lot, but we recognize that the online networking alternatives that are locally based and grounded in the neighborhoods that we live in are few and far in between. Social Wave is a free service of Hyperlinked Web Services that was launched as an attempt to help fill that void.
